What if somebody feels his hart is going too fast and he is nog able to calm down?
Hi Gertie, thank you for your question.
Basically, we train ourselves, more specifically our mind, like we train our physical muscles. The more you practise, the easiest and fastest you are able to calm yourself down.
And here the practice is about switching your focus on your thoughts, fearful or stressed or anything else that makes your heart go fast,
to your focus on your heart. So, you direct your attention to the physical space of your heart. You can imagine a light there. Or anything else that helps you stay in your heart space.
The crucial here is recognition that what makes your physical heart bit fast is your thoughts. And then redirect your attention.
